An online advent calendar you create and send for free: 24 doors that open one a day, starting December 1.

Sound familiar?

No more stuffing 24 little bags the night before.

  • A store-bought calendar is nice, but it says nothing about you.

  • Making one yourself takes whole evenings, and half of what goes inside is filler.

  • Family who live far away can’t add a thing.

How it works

How to make your online advent calendar

  1. Fill the doors

Who’s the calendar for? Pick a name and a look. Then fill doors with photos, voice messages, videos, a song, or a few words.

  2. Invite others

One link for the family group chat. Everyone picks a door and fills it, no account needed.

  3. Give it

Send the calendar as a link or on WhatsApp, or tuck a card with a QR code under the tree. Starting December 1, a new door opens every day.

Fill it together

Every door from someone different

Mom takes December 6, your best friend the 13th, and Grandma records something for Christmas Eve. You send one link, and everyone else picks a free door. Everyone sees right away what’s taken, and nobody overwrites anything.

  • Pick a free door, fill it, done
  • See who’s in and which doors are still empty
  • We fill empty doors with a little idea, if you like

Here’s what the invite looks like

Hi! We’re filling an advent calendar for Emma together. Use the link to pick a door, no app or account needed. Emma doesn’t know yet.

What fits behind the doors

Everything that won’t fit in a little bag.

  • Voice messages

As many as you want. Grandma reads a poem, the kids sing off-key.

  • Photos

A picture from back then behind every door, with a few words.

  • Videos

A quick hello from far away, or a YouTube link.

  • A song

The one that played at every holiday party.

  • Coupons

“One night of holiday lights, my treat.” Free today, still fun in January.

  • Quotes and letters

A line for the morning coffee, or a long letter for Christmas Eve.

24 doors until Christmas. Point your phone camera here and go.

Send it by link, text, or WhatsApp

The calendar is a link. Send it by text, WhatsApp, or email, or as a card with a QR code that you print and give. Add a password if you like. Emma opens it on her phone or laptop, no app needed.

Instead of a digital Christmas card: 24 doors.

Free, no app, no sign-up

The advent calendar costs nothing and stays that way. No ads between the doors, no limit on how many people open it.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is an online advent calendar?
An advent calendar as a link: 24 doors with photos, voice messages, or notes that open one a day, starting December 1. Not a giveaway, but a calendar for one person, filled by you and everyone who joins in.
How do I create a digital advent calendar?
Tap “Create an advent calendar,” pick a name and a look, and fill the doors. Anyone you want to join gets a link. Then send the calendar as a link, on WhatsApp, or as a QR card.
Is the digital advent calendar really free?
Yes. No paid tier, no ads in the calendar, no limit on photos and voice messages.
Can I send the advent calendar by text or WhatsApp?
Yes. The calendar is a link, so it works in any chat, and in WhatsApp it shows up with a preview image. The recipient opens it right in the browser.
Do I need an app or an account?
No. Everything runs in the browser, on a phone or a laptop. You get an edit link to pick up where you left off anytime, so keep it somewhere safe.
Can family and friends fill the advent calendar together?
Yes. You send an invite link, and everyone picks a free door and fills it. You see who’s in and what’s still free.
What can I put in a digital advent calendar?
Voice messages, photos, videos, a song, coupons, and notes, even several things behind one door.
Can the doors be opened early?
No. Each door opens on its day, and its content isn’t even loaded before then. Only you can preview how the calendar looks on a given day.
Can I still give the advent calendar after December 1?
Yes. The doors of the days that have passed open right away, and from today on it goes day by day.
How long does the calendar stay online?
Three months from the first door, so until the end of February if it starts on December 1. Then we delete it along with its photos and voice messages, so your memories don’t sit on a server indefinitely.

December 1 comes faster than you think.
